It’s hard to believe, but discrimination is still prevalent in the workplace. Fortunately for employees, it’s against the law. Our lawyers work hard to protect individuals who have been terminated, denied promotions, paid less, or rejected for a job when their age, gender, race, pregnancy, religion, disability, or national origin is a factor in the employer’s decision.

The law also prohibits workplace harassment, which can include unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, sexually explicit jokes, and other sexually verbal or physical harassment. Harassment can even include name calling, aggressive or threatening behavior, disrespect, or other hostile conduct based upon a person’s race, age, disability, or national origin. If you’ve been subjected to unwanted sexual conduct, or if you work in an environment that is hostile because of your race, age, disability, or national origin, your employer has an obligation to stop it and keep it from happening again.
